Bad news for Canada’s Atsuko Tanaka. The 22 year old tore her Cruciate Ligament.
The Canadian of Japanese origin spent time in Japan and did training on the hill in Sapporo. In a training unit there on June 14 she injured her left knee. Yesterday, back in Canada, it was diagnosed that her ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) is torn. She will receive a reconstruction surgery in July.
Tanaka wrote on her official Facebook page, that she hopes o be back for the World Championships. Ladies-Skijumping.com whishes her a speedy recovery.
