Ahead of the first World Cup season Ladies-Skijumping.com takes a close look at all national teams. Today we continue this series with Finland.
It is undoubted, that Julia Kykkänen is the best and most experienced Finnish jumper. For many years she was the only Finnish competitor in Ladies Skijumping. She should normally make it to the second round constantly. In the past she has already proven, that she is able to make it even to the top ten on a good day.
Jenny Rautionaho, Tanja Kaverinen and Sanni Tuomisto reinforced the Finnish team this summer. All three dont’ have any Continental Cup points yet, and so are not allowed to start at World Cups. So their only chance to qualify for these events will be a good performance at the CoCs in Finland and Norway in November and December. However, for these young jumpers gaining experience in international competitions is more important then good results.
